Genesis Bikes for Sale: Croix De Fer & More Bicycle Coop

Ride it on your local trails, or through the whole world. Bike packing is about the long haul—not the sprint—so you’ll want to make decisions that align with that, and this bike ticks all the boxes. The Venerable Croix de Fer frameset has been a mainstay of the Genesis range since 2009.
Aluminum four bar linkage suspension frame with a strong spring loaded suspension fork, front disc brakes, rear linear pull handbrakes, and a 21 speed drivetrain with Revo twist shifters from Shimano are the vitals. All this set up with a comfortable riding position featuring a padded saddle and rise handlebars will keep you out of the chiropractor's office. With a slogan like “Excellence Begins Here”, there was no way we could pass up the chance to review the Genesis V2100 mountain bike. This $149 full suspension, 26? bike has it all – aluminum frame, at least one disc brake, Shimano drivetrain, and even a padded seat. As an added bonus, it includes a full set of front, rear, pedal, and wheel reflectors, so you can be in compliance with local vehicle codes. That’s not something we usually find on the typical full squishy mountain bike, but we don’t usually shop for bicycles where most people buy diapers and groceries. There was just a couple things that was loose… But after getting a allen wrench, I was able to tighten up everything. The only good thing about these bikes that I like are the shumano derailleur, the tires, and the grips. My friend has one of these bikes and I’m trying to trade him tires lol. The geometry is more aggressive than the endurance-oriented Equilibrium, but not quite as ‘head-down bum-up’ as the dedicated racers that are the Zeros. Our high-quality tires are made to give you a smooth ride thru the city. The suspension fork absorbs shock to keep the ride comfortable. The wheelset is lightweight with an internal rim width of 19mm that will take good sized rubber which means you could add some float to the ride with some high volume tyres. The Core 26.4 came fitted with 2.2 Mountain Kings, the originals not the much improved Mountain King II. I did have to buy some new pedals and I always carried my allan wrench because the handle bars would often get loose, other than that this was a dependable bike, I even had to outride a German Shepard one morning. Whilst the 30 model gets a Shimano 105 2x11 drivetrain, along with the aluminium frame and carbon fork. So many models are offered that it can be hard to choose exactly which bike is best for you. We've split this guide up into four large sections; road bikes, adventure bikes, cyclocross bikes, and utility bikes, detailing each of the bikes in the range and how they differ from the others. If you're a dyed in the wool roadie or complete 'cross-head, you can jump straight to the section that interests you most. The Day One — its inaugural bike from 2001 — is still going strong as a low maintenance singlespeed with disc brakes and mounts for mudguards.
